Broiled Peaches n Cream

Serves: 8 peach halves
  • 4 peaches, halved and pits removed
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar + more for garnish
  • Kosher Salt (a dash)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped until soft peaks form
  • 1 Basil leaf (chiffonade)
  1. First preheat oven to broil (550 degrees) and set rack on middle. Next line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease (or use non stick foil)
  2. Next place peaches on baking sheet, cut side up. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar over peach halves.
  3. Place in oven for 4-6 minutes, or until tops of peach have begun to bubble and turn brown.
  4. Remove peaches, lightly sprinkle with kosher salt (like maybe one or two-three grains of salt per peach at the most... you may skip this).
  5. Add your freshly whipped cream. Garnish with a couple strips of basil & sprinkle some brown sugar on top. Serve warm.
