Today we ventured to Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, Missouri. Well, we didn’t quite really get into adventure mode. David (or DW) had been sleeping in the car ride over so the first twenty minutes after actually getting to our final destination, homeboy was still in zombie mode and refused to let me put him down. So the first twenty minutes were spent staring at the tetanus breathing playground.
Once he finally decided to stop mimicking Oscar the Grouch, play-grounding went seamlessly. Well, as seamlessly as it can go with a 16 month old (it ended after about 15 minutes when he realized that his banana that he was holding was covered in wood chips… all hell broke loose).
You can start to see his mood change with the photos.
I maybe should invest in a hairbrush, or baby mousse. Homeboys mop looks like a HOT mess.
Game. Over.
***** I get asked A LOT where I shop for my son. Unfortunately St. Louis doesn’t have a Zara so I shop online there. They run a little bigger so if your child is in the “50th percentile” or less I would size down. If not size normal. And then go from there…. they have a great return/exchange policy. They are also incredibly affordable and the quality is GOOD. Wash a million times and no fading or tearing. The t-shirt and pants are from there. The cardigan is from H&M, which is great due to the price, however quality it will only last one season, so don’t expect a “hand-me-down” from them. The socks are hanes (never fail) and shoes are converse… which have been a BLESSING with his new bambi legs. Would highly recommend. When he was learning to walk I used stride-rite since his feet were pigeon toed, but now that they have straightened these converse really have been great!
